Delhi Capitals will have JSW Group as a principal sponsor after Daikin pulled out of IPL 2020. Indian players of the DC franchise on Thursday gathered in Mumbai ahead of their departure to the UAE for the IPL 2020, which was initially scheduled to start in March. However, the event was postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The 13th edition of the IPL will be played from September 19 to November 10, across three venues in the United Arab Emirates; namely Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai.
Delhi Capitals are the only team to have never qualified for a final of IPL. They qualified for the playoffs in 2019 for the first time in seven years.
Their previous franchise name was Delhi Daredevils which was changed in December 2018. They are led by Shreyas Iyer. They finished 3rd in IPL 2019 and 2012 besides being semi-finalists in 2008 and 2009. They have so far played 177 matches and could win only 77, losing 98 matches.

Delhi Capitals have announced JSW Group as the franchise’s principal sponsor and comes in place of Daikin Air-conditioning who were their principal sponsors since 2015.
