CSK batsman Faf du Plessis helped CSK to victory last night and was all praises for Skipper MS Dhoni and head coach Stephen Fleming. This victory comes as a breather for CSK after their three consecutive losses in the IPL 2020. In their match last night, KXIP had won the toss and chosen to bat first, at the Dubai International stadium.
KL Rahul went and scored 63 runs and was the highest run-getter for KXIP. They set up a target of 179 for CSK, which openers Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis got to with ease. A stunning unbeaten knock from Shane Watson (83) and Faf du Plessis (87) took CSK to the target of 179 with 14 balls left. CSK won the match by 10 wickets.

Faf du Plessis Praises CSK Management For Keeping Faith In Him
The 36-year-old, veteran batsman gave credits to Dhoni, Fleming and CSK management to stick with their players for longer as compared to the other teams.
“Credit to Dhoni and Fleming, it’s obviously the CSK way, they stick with players a bit longer than other teams might,” said Du Plessis at the post-match presentation.
“They stick with players that they feel will play in the final. Credit to the management. It’s not always as easy as it looks,” the former South African skipper added.

Hopefully our guys find their best form over the next 3-4 games: Faf du Plessis
Faf du Plessis said he felt good about playing till the end, and it was a great partnership with Shane Watson. He said in the last game they were good with the ball but could not do well with the bat, however, in today’s game, Watson was a big advantage. Du Plessis told he hopes that everyone in the team finds their best form in the soonest time possible.
“It’s coming well. I think the big thing for me it to bat till the end. I don’t want to score 30s and 40s and get out. Great that we could get a great partnership tonight. Great that Watto (Shane Watson) got those runs as well for us, he’s a big player in our side.” said Faf du Plessis.

“I thought in the previous game we were good with the ball, but we didn’t bat well. Today Watto was a big plus for us. A lot of guys haven’t played cricket, so you hope that you strike form immediately. But when that doesn’t happen, it does take a bit of time. Hopefully our guys find their best form over the next 3-4 games,” he added.
An incredible performance from the opening pair of Shane Watson and Faf Du Plessis, saw Chennai cruising past KXIP with ease. CSK’s bowling lineup saw Shardul Thakur get two wickets, Ravindra Jadeja and Piyush Chawla bagged one wicket each.
