The all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is recovering well and training ahead of the marquee four-match Test series against Australia. Taking to Twitter, he shared a video of him doing light work out with weights.
Ravindra Jadeja was ruled out of the T20I series midway after he sustained a concussion as well as a hamstring injury during the first T20I in Canberra. While batting in that match, Jadeja scored scintillating 44 runs off 23 balls to guide India to set 162 runs target.
In the last over of the innings, Mitchell Starc‘s fast bowl hit on Jadeja’s helmet although he continued batting. But he didn’t come to bowl in the second innings and Chahal was called in as his concussion substitute, who was later awarded man of the match as he picked three wickets for 25.

Ravindra Jadeja didn’t feature in the last two T20Is albeit India clinched the victory in the series with 2-1. As India and Australia are raring to play the much-awaited Test series, it’s positive news for the visitors that the spin-bowling allrounder is reclaiming his fitness.

Ravindra Jadeja is a marquee player for India both with batting and bowling. In the last match of the ODI series against Australia, he stitched up an unbeaten match-winning partnership with Hardik Pandya and scored 66* runs to avoid the clean sweep. He has been very economical throughout the tour although he hasn’t picked as many wickets.

As far as the Test series is concerned, India has Ravichandran Ashwin for the spin-bowling option but they might also go with Jadeja if he recovers fully because he adds a good batting option. It will be interesting to see whether Jadeja gets a Test match in this series because India is looking to defend the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
