John Cena has been the franchise for WWE over a decade and more. He is the flag-bearer of the company and almost was the sole representative for the company at one point. Last two or three years has seen his popularity fading to a certain extent but that does not throw away his popularity and acceptance among the audience. Recently, he is sidelined due to injury and shifted his focus to some new activities apart from WWE keeping his full commitment to the company, though.
John Cena will now be seen as the host of a reality TV series on Fox i.e. called American Grit. In the recent times, he has been seen promoting the new show. While talking about the show, Cena admitted that he always wanted to reach to a wider audience instead of sticking to a single type. He added that that American grit is an entertaining product and does not want it to be focused on a single audience group.

Cena has worked hard throughout his life to reach the position where he is right now. He was asked about the challenges that he faced his whole career consistently and he answered that his whole life was all about struggle and it all depends on embracing one’s opportunities. He also stated that this new reality TV Series American Grit would be totally different than what he was doing on Monday Night Raw and his days of being lethargic to the new opportunities is over.
John Cena quoted, “[It’s] more embracing new opportunities; producing this show, taking a hosting route rather than an in-the-action player, which is kind of what I’ve been for the WWE over the past 15 years. Even slightly before that, the roles in comedies aren’t really typical of my profession. It’s just being able to take that leap of faith into doing interesting things and new projects that normally wouldn’t be on the menu for someone like me.”
Cena had an appearance on Wrestlemania 32 in a non-wrestling capacity alongside the Rock. He is supposedly cleared to compete in the ring after his shoulder surgery and scheduled to return to WWE in the near future.
