WWE Raw ratings did not fall after the Wrestlemania season due to some brilliant booking with the fresh talents that came into the main roster. One of the other reasons behind that is the presence of Shane McMahon and in control of Monday Night Raw for consecutive weeks. The audience got rid of the pain known as the Authority. Apparently, the Creative has planned for their return on this week’s WWE Raw.
According to the reports coming from cagesideseats.com that The Authority would probably return on next week’s WWE Raw to confront Shane McMahon and set up the feud between them which may pave the way for the much-anticipated brand split. Furthermore, we will see the end of the “The Authority” gimmick, at least for some time.
Earlier this year prior to Wrestlemania Shane McMahon returned to stake his claim over the company, but until now it was a father-son storyline with Triple H and Stephanie not being so much involved into this. Though the stipulation for Shane’s match was put that if Undertaker wins Shane will not be seen, but Mr. McMahon, out of pure generosity let him run the show. This fuelled the fact that when Triple H and Stephanie will return, they will have to file a lot of complaints to their father as the in-charge of WWE Raw. Thus, a feud between Shane and Triple H is also anticipated.
Furthermore, it also indicates that the feud will definitely be for the control of Monday Night Raw which will result in a full brand split, with a split roster and more. For years, Shane’s return and taking over the company was in talk but the reality era is in full swing and it’s hard to distinguish between the kayfabe and the reality.
The main problem with Shane getting in charge is that Undertaker’s win at Wrestlemania became meaningless. If WWE could let him win at Mania, he could simply be in charge of WWE Raw instead of depending on the social media angle. Hopefully, we will get a glimpse of what’s coming in near future on this edition of WWE Raw.
