Sasha Banks was one of the first-round picks during this year’s WWE Draft. She was retained by the blue brand and now she might just end up becoming the top babyface name on Friday Night. At least the current scenario for the Smackdown brand stands in that way.

Raw kicked off this week with SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch coming out and announcing that she has been drafted to the red brand as the first Draft pick of Night Two. As we have already seen that Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair has been sent to Smackdown during Draft Night One. So, these two might just swap their titles in the near future if not some sudden title altercation takes place.

In the meantime, it should be noted that both these two top WWE Superstars will play heel roles on their respective brands. Bianca Belair will be the top babyface on Raw which leaves the counterpart position on Smackdown, vacant. It appears that Sasha Banks is being considered for that role.

Sasha Banks will be the top babyface on Smackdown

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer broke down the new WWE roster inclusions during WWE Draft 2021. Those draft picks won’t go into effect until October 22nd, the night after Crown Jewel. But from that night, fans might just get to see a much different Sasha Banks,

“The women’s side, there is no top women babyface on SmackDown, I’m figuring that Sasha Banks becomes a babyface, because the other two top women stars are Charlotte Flair, who absolutely shouldn’t be a babyface and Shayna Baszler who appears, based on how she’s being booked is not a babyface.” (transcription by Ringside News)

Sasha Banks is a veteran, on her own rights and another character change won’t certainly make any effect on her. We will have to wait and see if WWE changes anything around her or push a newbie for the top of the card. But millions of fans would love to see the return of the babyface version of The Boss.

At present, Sasha Banks is back on the title picture since her return at Extreme Rules. WWE has confirmed that she will challenge Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch for the title alongside Bianca Belair at Crown Jewel PPV in a Triple Threat Match on October 21st.
