AEW Dynamite will be hosting a special Holiday Bash edition, next week on the occasion of Christmas 2021. New matches and a Christmas Party segment have now been announced for the Wednesday night special set to air on the TNT network.
It was announced during this week’s AEW Rampage that AEW Dynamite will feature Adam Cole vs. Orange Cassidy in a singles competition.
This match has been announced since The Best Friends have been engaged in a feud with The SuperKliq. The two factions collided in a tag team match on Rampage where The Best Friends emerged as winners in tag team match.

Cole vs. Cassidy was then announced for AEW Dynamite while Cole previously teased to Bobby Fish and The Young Bucks that he will give them the best Christmas present they’ve ever received. This led to the speculations that this may end up featuring the AEW debut of Kyle O’Reilly who’s been a free agent since making his exit from WWE NXT.
The AEW TBS Title Tournament will continue on AEW Dynamite as Ruby Soho takes on Nyla Rose in the semi-finals match. The winner of Soho vs. Rose will advance to the finals to face the winner of the Jade Cargill vs. Thunder Rosa match. The final match-winner will be crowned the inaugural AEW TBS Champion. This match is scheduled to take place at the Dynamite TBS premiere on January 5 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Also, it’s been announced that Tony Schiavone and AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker will host a Christmas Party on Wednesday’s Holiday Bash edition of AEW Dynamite. Baker is currently preparing to defend her title against Riho at AEW Battle of The Belts on Saturday, January 8 in Charlotte, NC at the Bojangles Coliseum. This is the first and only match announced for the PPV event, thus far.
