Apparently, WWE is on a mission to thin their roster to make the cost-cutting into fruition. They now made a routine job where every year in the spring, they try to thin out the roster and this year, too is following no exception. But, the more importantly this year the thinning process is turning out to be quite a long-term process.
With already nine superstars being shown the doors, the news is still coming that some more to follow in the coming weeks and now a veteran’s name has been excluded from the performer’s list. The two-time World heavyweight Champion, Christian has been released from WWE’s performer’s contract to make it official that we will not see him compete inside the squared circle ever again.
Though, there’s no need to worry from the Peeps’ point of view because that was happening anyway on any given day provided his battle with the injuries for the past few years which kelp he shelved from the action. Though, the veteran will continue to do his job for the company as a part of the “Edge and Christian Show that totally Reeks of Awesomeness.” Christian was last seen competing in WWE ring in the year 2014 and despite all the concussions his wrestling contract was still active till now. But, the concussions would have automatically forced him to hang up the wrestling boots.
After enjoying his stint as a successful tag team competitor with his buddy Edge, Christian left WWE in the year 2005 only to return back in the year 2009. He was never in the good books of Vince McMahon but still went on to become a two-time World Heavyweight Champion, 9-time tag team champion, 4-time Intercontinental champion and a two-time ECW champion. Edge and Christian are considered as one of all time great tag team in the history of WWE and won the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Tag Team of the Year in 2000.
