WWE Royal Rumble 2022 will take place inside The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri on January 29. It was confirmed during the Day 1 event that the next PPV event in the WWE calendar will be held on a Saturday night, just a day before the NFL’s AFC and NFC Championship Games to determine the Super Bowl matchup, to prevent any sort of competitions from the mainstream sporting event.
Jackass star Johnny Knoxville has seemingly been announced to make an appearance at the Royal Rumble 2022 pay-per-view to compete in the 30-Man Rumble match. In a crossover promotion spree, Knoxville will be there on the show to promote his upcoming Jackass Forever movie which will be released on February 4th of this year. Another former WWE Superstar is being rumored to make her appearance on the show which is apparently turned down.

Former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Nia Jax claimed that she won’t be making a dramatic WWE return at the company’s Royal Rumble 2022 pay-per-view on 29 January.
The ex WWE Superstar recently answered a series of questions during a Q&A session on her official Instagram page. When asked about the possibilities of her comeback in St. Louis for the Rumble during the women’s Royal Rumble match she said such rumors were “false”.

Royal Rumble 2022 is expected to feature at least a few returns on the card, going by the tradition of the event. Earlier this year, WWE released Nia with the “budget cuts” reason cited to be the reason behind the same. The former Total Divas star might be aware of the fact that there’s no interest on WWE’s side about bringing her back to the mix and hence she also might not be affected by the ongoing rumors of her potential return to the WWE.
It should be noted that Nia Jax is an undefeated woman in the Royal Rumble PPV event. She defeated Sasha Banks in the pre-show at the 2017 edition of the pay-per-view while Jax and Shayna Baszler defeated Asuka and Charlotte Flair for the Women’s Tag Team titles at Royal Rumble 2021.
Whether or not Jax appears at Royal Rumble 2022, she will be one of the very few WWE female superstars to enter the Men’s Rumble match that happened back at the 2019 edition.
