There have been quite a speculations going on over the health issues of AJ Styles. The number one contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship is nagging a few injuries which are not allowing him to feature in the in-ring competition since last week’s WWE Monday Night Raw.
It was reported earlier that AJ Styles was pretty banged up and got removed from three live events that were scheduled last week from Greenville, South Carolina on Friday, Raleigh, North Carolina on Saturday and Columbia, South Carolina on Sunday. Naturally WWE Universe was questioning about the majority of the injury. Though Styles himself assured the fans later via Twitter and showed up on Raw, the reports coming around him still are negative.
The Phenomenal One is suffering from a banged ankle as admitted by him, and a back injury. The back injury has plagued him since his Ring of Honor days and in worse condition than he admits. He took a chair shot from Reigns on the back on Raw, as well. So he will not be hundred percent fit until the Extreme Rules pay-per-view. Since his feud with Reigns is supposedly extending to Money in the Bank pay-per-view, WWE let him took a breath of relief by lightning off his schedule, according to wrestlingINC.com.
Speaking of Styles’ injury, that leads us to the recent injury suffered by Enzo Amore. At WWE Payback, during the Tag Team Championship Tournament finals match against The Vaudevillains, Enzo suffered a legitimate concussion when his head stuck between the middle and the bottom rope which further bounced when he landed outside the ring. This week on Raw fallout his tag team partner Big Cass provided an update about the injury by saying that Enzo is recovering very well and everyone should keep an eye on their back because “you don’t know when and you don’t know where.”
With that being said we can very well expect the “Smacktalker, skywalker” to be back at WWE Extreme Rules this Sunday in his home state of New Jersey.
