Former WWE United States Champion Baron Corbin who is also the winner of the King of the Ring tournament of the WWE in 2019 recently talked about his relationship with the owner of WWE, Vince McMahon.
Baron Corbin is a utility talent of WWE who started his professional wrestling career back in 2012 as an NXT tryout. He signed a developmental system contract in 2012 with WWE and worked in the NXT for the next four years.

In this four years’ time in the NXT, he might not be able to win any Championship but he made a mark for himself. One of the biggest advantages that he had was, he was an utility talent of WWE, something that the promotion always prefer over the talents from Indies and other promotions.
In 2016 he came to the main roster. He made his main roster debut as a participant of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in WrestleMania 32. It was the third ever Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. The previous two winners were Cesaro and the Big Show, both were main roster stars.
Corbin was the first wrestler to win the Battle Royale being a competitor from the NXT. That was however the beginning of his main roster career. For the last five years he has been working on the main roster since and he is doing extremely well.
Every now and then WWE tried to push him onto the main event status. But for some reason it never worked very well. In this 5 years of his main roster WWE tournament, he could only win one championship and that is the WWE United States Championship.
Except of that he won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal as mentioned above, and he also won the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match, even though he failed in his cash in.
One more special thing about him is, since the main roster debut he has always been a heel. Currently he is playing the gimmick of Happy Corbin. The gimmick did not become very famous but he is playing it perfectly.
Baron Corbin who is also the winner of the King of the Ring tournament of the WWE in 2019 recently spoke to Ryan Satin’s Out Of Character where he talked about his relationship with the owner of WWE, Vince McMahon. He said;
“It’s funny because they come up with these ideas. I think it’s just being around Vince [McMahon] for years or Triple H — they kind of start to learn your personality, so they tailor characters I think. They get this idea and tailor that character based on their interactions with you over the years.
“It could’ve been something with Vince where I’m making him laugh or just having fun being one of the guys with him and he’s like, ‘Ah man, I got this idea where you’re just over the top happy’ and he always tells me, he’s like, ‘People don’t like you. They’re really not gonna like you when you’re really happy all the time’ and so, it works. And like I said, it’s just fun, man.”
