Professional wrestling legend and two times WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair who is a former sixteen times World Champion as recognised by the WWE recently talked about his respect for WWE and said he would never say anything bad about the promotion.

Ric Flair did not have a very long career in WWE. He is one of the biggest examples of a wrestler who became famous outside of WWE. This is not true that the wrestler cannot be famous outside of WWE, it was not true back in that time it was not true today either. For today’s wrestling world Kenny Omega is a huge star who became famous outside of the WWE.

Ric Flair Says He Will Never Say Anything Bad About WWE

Flair signed for WWE for the first time in 1991, nearly two decades after starting his professional wrestling career. Even in this time he had a very short amount of time in WWE. He worked in the promotion for only two years. In this two years he won the WWE Championship 2 times in total. In 1993 he left WWE to join WCW once again.

In 2002 he made his return to WWE not to depart for the next 6 years. He has mostly been treated as a legend of professional wrestling in this time as he was already above his 50s during this period of time. In 2008 he was inducted into the Hall Of Fame WWE individually and in 2012 WWE inducted him into the Hall Of Fame once again as a part of the Four Horsemen.

Ric Flair who is a former sixteen times World Champion as recognised by the WWE recently spoke on his WOOOOOO Nation podcast where he talked about his respect for WWE and said he would never say anything bad about the promotion. He said;

“I never did that. I never said a word. I refused when Bischoff wanted me to crack on Vince, and I said, ‘I will absolutely never do that.’ Ring of Honor, same bullsh*t with them. They wanted me to get in the ring and say that they were as big and can compete with the WWE.

“I said, “I absolutely do not do that’, and I walked out the door. I don’t care what story you hear from anybody. That’s what happened. That was unconditional. I will never crack on the WWE. Do I have issues with people that work there?

“Yes. But the WWE pulled me from my head being shaved (in WCW), shamed beyond belief for who I was supposed to be in the business, head shaved and shaved my son’s head. Oh, my God. Had to get us both right? He thought it was the greatest thing in the world because he was 12 years old. But what a way to be left, and that’s how they left me. That’s history, and that’s bullsh*t.”
