Coming straight out of the United Kingdom tour, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and his cousins will take things over on WWE Raw. The Bloodline as a faction has been advertised to be the headliner of this week’s red brand show which is also going to be the go-home episode for Wrestlemania Backlash 2022.
That being said all the last-minute builds will be there on the show that takes place at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Roman Reigns headlined two of the WWE United Kingdom Live Events that went down from London and Paris. On both nights, he defeated top Smackdown babyface superstar Drew McIntyre in order to retain his dual championships.
Now, the SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos and the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion will be live on WWE RAW from Greensboro, NC for the final red brand show before WrestleMania Backlash. Nothing is confirmed on what they will be doing on the show but their ongoing feud with Team RK-Bro should get stretched.
Roman Reigns Claims To Be Last Needle Mover In WWE
WWE previously announced SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. WWE Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro in a Winners Take All Title Unification Match for WrestleMania Backlash. However, an angle on last week’s SmackDown led to WWE changing the match to RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre vs. The Usos and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a six-man tag team non-title match.
WWE Raw Preview (02/05/22): Top match in the making?
Last week’s WWE Raw witnessed Becky Lynch making her return to TV which was her first TV appearance since dropping the RAW Women’s Title to Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 38. In a heel promo, she vowed to regain the title from Belair, and then no one will be in a position to stop her. This was the time when the music interrupted and out came Asuka to a big pop from the audience.
After a face-off, Asuka flicked Lynch’s nose and in return Lunch went on to hit her but missed. Asuka tried for a back-fist but she also missed. Lynch then retreated to the floor and looked at Asuka. The bygone segment must have set up an Asuka vs. Lynch matchup for Wrestlemania Backlash 2022 as we expect to get confirmation on the same.
Wrestlemania Backlash 2022: Major Title Change Expected At WWE PLE
Two weeks ago on WWE Raw, Rhea Ripley turned heel on her former tag team partner Liv Morgan after digesting a pinfall loss. This was a long-time coming as the former NXT Superstar was hinting at a character change.
Then on last week’s WWE Raw, Ripley explained her decision to turn on Liv Morgan in a backstage interview. Morgan eventually arrived at the scene which led to a physical brawl between the two women. Although nothing is confirmed, the two former tag partners could be announced for a matchup at the upcoming WrestleMania Backlash Premium Live Event.
No particular matches or segments have been announced for the go-home WWE Raw for Wrestlemania Backlash 2022, as of this writing. The host venue has The New Day vs. Sheamus and Ridge Holland advertised in a tag team bout and this one should be a dark match during the tapings.
