WWE star and the current WWE United States champion Austin Theory aka Theory who is being projected as the next big face of WWE recently talked about the botched Stunner that was staged by Stone Cold Steve Austin and Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 38. He also talked about the backstage reaction of it.
The four way segment between Austin Theory, Pat McAfee, Vince McMahon and Stone Cold Steve Austin was one of the most important segments of WrestleMania 38. It started with a one on one match between Theory and Pat McAfee and it was one of the most entertaining matches of the night. Both wrestlers did really good in this match.
Austin Theory Reveals The Backstage Reaction On Vince McMahon’s Stunner Sell
The match was ultimately won by McAfee, he did an amazing job in his ending return. Theory was also really good as a heel and did very good to pick up the heat. After the match, McAfee challenged Vince McMahon in a match and the match actually took place. It was really shocking to see a 76 year old McMahon in action and that was also in a stage like WrestleMania.
Theory kept on interfering during the match which helped McMahon to gain an easy victory over Pat McAfee. It might have been one of the worst worked matches of the event but it was White fun to see Mr McMahon returning to action after such a long time.
After the match Stone Cold Steve Austin appeared and delivered Stunner to everyone who were included in this segment, including McAfee. But McMahon totally failed to sell the Stunner, in fact, it is being considered as one of the worst sold Stunners of all time. But what can you expect from a 76 year old man, whatever he did was a lot.
Austin Theory aka Theory who is being projected as the next big face of WWE recently spoke to My Love Letter To Pro Wrestling podcast where he talked about the botched Stunner that was staged by Stone Cold Steve Austin and Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 38. He also talked about the backstage reaction of it. He said;
“It was really cool. When Mr. McMahon walked to the back, everyone was screaming at him. It was a lot of the female wrestlers, they were screaming at him and messing with him. He was like, ‘Okay, okay.’ It was proud, like being proud of your dad.
“Pat comes through and everyone was proud of what we did out there and everyone enjoyed it. You know it went well when everyone in the back enjoyed it. It was awesome. Even days after and now, hearing so much about it, you know you made that WrestleMania moment, which is really cool to me.”
