Alexa Bliss and Liv Morgan are heading into Money in the Bank 2022. The two have been rumored to form a new tag team on Raw, starting with their brief alliance from last week. They were allowed to eventually feature in a tag team match with a MITB spot hanging in the balance.
During the June 13 episode of Raw, Bliss and Liv defeated Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H. to qualify for the Women’s Money In The Bank 2022 ladder match. With Doudrop taken out at ringside, Bliss and Morgan brought some tandem offenses to take care of Nikki. Bliss planted Nikki with her pendant DDT move to get the pin-fall win.
Money In The Bank 2022: First Men’s MITB Match Qualifier Result From WWE Raw
With this win, Bliss and Morgan join Lacey Evans as the first three participants in the Money in the Bank 2022 women’s division ladder match. Evans qualified on the June 10 episode of Smackdown when she defeated Xia Li in her in-ring return after one and a half years.
Alexa Bliss won the 2018 edition of the MITB ladder match when she overcame the likes of Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, Ember Moon, Naomi, Lana, and Natalya. Bliss was also a part of last year’s match alongside Morgan, which featured Asuka, Naomi, Zelina Vega, Natalya, Tamina, and the winner, Nikki A.S.H.
Sixth women’s MITB ladder match set for Money in the Bank 2022
Money in the Bank 2022 women’s ladder match will be the sixth one featuring the female roster members of the WWE. It was introduced in 2017. Carmella, Alexa Bliss, Bayley, and Nikki A.S.H. are the winners who have successfully cashed in their contracts on the respective champions after winning the briefcase.
The 2020 edition winner, Asuka was handed the RAW Women’s Championship by then-champion, Becky Lynch the night after the win as Lynch was going into a hiatus due to pregnancy reasons.
Money In The Bank 2022 premium live event takes place on Saturday, July 2 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Originally, the event was scheduled to take place at the home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium before it was shifted to the smaller venue since WWE experienced problems in moving out tickets for the outdoor stadium.
