Chelsea striker Timo Werner could finally move on from his Premier League adventure with Chelsea this summer, after reports of his exit have surfaced.

The German has seemingly not enjoyed his two-year stint at Chelsea so far, after joining them in 2020 from RB Leipzig in a deal worth £47 million.

Sky Deutschland’s Florian Plattenberg now claims that Werner is looking for a way out of the club, after continuous tiffs with manager Thomas Tuchel.

This has added to the his lack of game-time at the club under Tuchel. Werner managed only 21 appearances in the Premier League last season, netting just 4 goals and further assisting one.

Werner ‘annoyed’ by Thomas Tuchel reveals Plattenberg

According to Plattenberg, things between Tuchel and Werner have reached the boiling point, with the striker preparing himself to exit the club.

The Sky Deutschland’s journalist through Twitter revealed, “His [Timo Werner’s] possible departure can become a hot topic. Been told that Werner is annoyed of the fact that Tuchel is too critical & skeptical. There is no harmony. Timo likes Chelsea a lot but he wants to play regularly. His big aim: A big role at the World Cup.”

All this has only worsened the situation, after Thomas Tuchel evidently over-looked Werner last season despite Romelu Lukaku failing to deliver. Tuchel rather went with the experiment of Kai Havertz as a number-9 which paid-off as well.

However, frustration has since taken a toll over Werner who confessed that he could leave the Blues in search of regular minutes. The Germany international said, “I could be happy everywhere.

“It is clear I want to play more and I should play more to first be in good shape for the World Cup and also, to have a chance to play at the World Cup.”

On the other hand, Werner has received a stern reply from his manager over his lack of game-time cries. Tuchel in an interview said, “He (Werner) needs to get his game time. Show quality, take your place, and defend your place.”

While Thomas Tuchel was touted as the man who would revive Werner’s ailing form, he rather might just end up putting a full stop on the striker’s Chelsea career.
