Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti are one of the most celebrated professional wrestlers of this generation. They went public with their relationship just a few months after Sammy proposed to his former girlfriend Pamella Nizio inside the AEW ring. This happened during last year’s summer but the engagement was broken just after a few weeks.
By the end of last year, Sammy and Tay Conti began dating and several photos of their PDA sessions surfaced in December. After going public on New Year’s Eve, their relationship was soon carried over to television as the two were also paired up with one another on AEW television.
Due to their constant PDA sessions and the fact that Tay Conti was the supposed reason behind Sammy’s breakup with Pam, fans eventually turned on the couple. Both are currently members of the Jericho Appreciation Society after Sammy joined the group during the Road Rager event back in June by disguising himself as Fuego Del Sol to help the leader of the faction Chris Jericho win his hair vs. hair match against Ortiz. Of course, his arm candy soon joined him in the group.

Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti would get engaged in early June and then they proceeded to get married this past weekend with WWE Superstar Nikki A.S.H. serving as one of the bridesmaids. The event was supposed to keep the couple away from TV for a bit but that won’t be the case.

Tay Conti will compete in a tag team title match on Rampage
As announced on Dynamite, they will be defending their AAA World Mixed Tag Team Titles against Dante Martin and Skye Blue on this week’s episode of Rampage. It should be noted that Blue and Martin are also a real-life couple who began dating at the beginning of this year in January and have been together since. The two have previously competed in matches on AEW programming.
In more news, Tay Conti has seemingly made a change to her on-screen name as she might want to get referred to as Tay Melo which is her real-life name. The graphics for the match first indicated the name change that will go to effect from Rampage, this week. She won the AAA Worlds Mixed Tag Team Championship with Sammy at TripleMania XXX: Monterrey. The couple bested three other tag teams at the Lucha Libre AAA event to win the gold.
Time will tell whether they will be able to retain their gold or not. For now, the confirmed card for this week’s Rampage stands as follows,
