WWE SmackDown star and a former two times WWE World champion Drew McIntyre who is also a former two times WWE Tag Team Champion recently talked about showing up every week and keeping himself relevant for the championship picture.
The journey of Drew McIntyre to become a top star in the world of professional wrestling today was never very easy. He was projected as the next big thing in WWE during the early days of his first run in the promotion. But somehow it felt to the management that it was too early and it was quite unfortunate that he had to play a role of a jobber.

Drew McIntyre Reflects On Showing Up Every Week
After the number of years he was released from the promotion and he started working else were including on the independent circuit. He became quite famous outside of WWE as he won multiple World Championship including TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
In 2017 he returned to WWE and this time it was quite clear that the promotion had big plans for the promotion. At first he was given a go at the NXT which is the Development Territory of WWE. In 2020 he won the Royal Rumble match and went on to challenge for the WWE championship at WrestleMania 36. He is still a main event star and he is definitely a big threat to the World Champion Roman Reigns in spite of losing to him at Clash at the Castle pay per view event.

Drew McIntyre who is also a former two times WWE Tag Team Champion recently spoke to Dallas Morning News where he talked about showing up every week and keeping himself relevant for the championship picture. He said;
“No [laughs]. I don’t think so. I suffer for the company, suffer from my art – constantly, it feels like. But that comes with the territory being the workhorse of WWE, being the conscience, I guess, of WWE. You ain’t gonna find Roman Reigns doing the schedule that I do. I keep the championship schedule.

“I’m happy to do it. I’m happy to do the media responsibilities. I’m happy to represent the company on the weekend live events. This is my dream. It’s a privilege to do it. And if it involves getting beat with chairs … still be involved in the strap match with Kross, who has managed to divert my attention away from the title, so be it.
“Even though he keeps attacking me from behind. If it’s not him attacking me, it’s his girl [Scarlett] low blowing me from behind. I’ll do what I have to do get through all these new challenges and get my way back to Roman.”
