The Rock has been keeping his spot intact as the biggest box office attraction in Hollywood with one after another release. This is the key reason why we haven’t seen him in a WWE ring in recent times despite tons of speculations around his return. At this point, he’s set to present the much-awaited Black Adam project to the audience which is finally set for a global release.
This is a character that The Rock had been in talks of playing since almost 2007. Fifteen years later, the movie is set to hit the theatres and the megastar is super excited about it alongside the fans. He has already made quite an impact in Hollywood for adventure/thrilling movie genres and his role in the Fast & Furious series. Now, Black Adam will portray the larger-than-life superstar as a superhero.

The DC movie recently got a huge promotion at the San Diego Comic-Con. The Adam character gets his origin in this flick along with other DCEU characters like the Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Cyclone, Atom Smasher, and Isis.
The Rock was in attendance at the Comic-Con and revealed to Vanity Fair that the original plan called for his character to get included with the Shazam character. Since Black Adam is the arch-rival to Shazam, the pitch made all the sense. However, it seemed unfair to the leading man and hence the collaboration was rejected,
“When the first draft of the movie came to us, it was a combination of Black Adam and Shazam: Two origin stories in one movie. Now that was the goal — so it wasn’t a complete surprise. But when I read that, I just knew in my gut, ‘We can’t make this movie like this. We would be doing Black Adam an incredible disservice.’ It would’ve been fine for Shazam having two origin stories converge in one movie, but not good for Black Adam.”

The Rock gearing up for his big DC Superhero movie release
Black Adam is yet to get a release but it has been able to create quite the buzz given it’s the strongest superhero character in the DC universe. Fans reacted to the comments made by The Rock about Shazam never facing off against Black Adam but the two characters should confront each other in the near future given the storyline.
The Rock managed to get his solo superhero flick with Black Adam who may also bring some Justice Society of America figures. Even a potential angle with the previous biggest Superhero Superman was also indicated. We have to wait and see how things fold out when the movie gets released in theatres.
