Professional wrestling legend and two times WWE Hall of Famer “The Hitman” Bret Hart who is a former five times WWE World champion recently said that he wished he would have never gone to WCW and never wrestled Goldberg. He also said that he always considered himself as a WWE guy.
Bret Hart was one of the top stars of WWE when he worked in the promotion. He had been the top babyface of the promotion and also worked as the top heel. He is considered as one of the biggest finds of WWE throughout the years. Throughout his WWE career he was involved in some really big rivalries.

Bret Hart Wishes He Would Never Went To WCW
But at Survivor Series 1997, he could not settle score with WWE anymore and he decided to leave WWE forever after the infamous Montreal Screwjob incident. He went to WCW which was the biggest rival promotion of WWE during the time. It was not a very good think for WWE to lose their top star to their rival promotion.
But WWE managed to coexist with WCW, and slowly they mastered WCW. Hart was treated as a main event star in WCW too, but the promotion was already collapsing. In year 2000, Hart had a match with Goldberg in WCW, which ended in killing Hart’s wrestling career forever. Hart still considers moving to WCW was the biggest mistake of his life.

“The Hitman” Bret Hart who is a former five times WWE World champion recently spoke to The Ringer where he said that he wished he would have never gone to WCW and never wrestled Goldberg. He also said that he always considered himself as a WWE guy. He said;
“We had our issues over the years. But I watched Undertaker and Shawn Michaels wrestle at one of the WrestleManias. Even then, I had such a bitterness towards Shawn, but I had to admit it was one of the greatest matches I ever watched. That’s where I ended up deciding to make friends with Shawn and bury the hatchet and all that.
“It was very truthful, that little storyline with me and Vince and Shawn. Me and Shawn making up in the ring (in 2010) and shaking hands and all that, that was all very real and very moving for me. And was not something that was orchestrated. Shawn wanted that off his back and I was in a position to take it off his back and that was the best resolution for both of us. We’ve been friends ever since.

“And I’m grateful that he’s in a better place today. I wish that none of the bad history that we had-had ever happened. I wished I’d never left for WCW because I probably wouldn’t have had a stroke and I probably wouldn’t have had to wrestle Bill Goldberg.
“I was always a WWE guy, always. And I almost resent when someone talks about me like I wasn’t. They’re surprised I’m even around today. But I gave everything I had to that company and I’m proud of everything I did in the ring and I’m proud of what I represented.”
