With the WrestleMania 39 season on the verge of kicking off, the absence of Brock Lesnar from WWE TV is being noticed. Monday Night Raw is genuinely lacking star power as the brand doesn’t have any top world champions in the first place. The good thing is that we may not have to wait long enough to have a top star like The Conqueror to be back onboard.
Brock Lesnar’s last WWE match took place against Bobby Lashley at the Crown Jewel 2022 pay-per-view on November 5 and that night was also the final time we spotted him on TV. The former WWE Champion emerged victorious on that night but that was a fluke win over Lashley. WWE has since kept him away from television over the last two months now, but hints have been dropped about the biggest box office attraction coming back to TV, sooner than later.
WWE Raw: Becky Lynch Herself Requested To Cancel Dream Wrestlemania 39 Match
The WWE on BT Sport Twitter account shared a photo of the Royal Rumble 2023 poster where Brock Lesnar is among the top superstars included on the poster. This genuinely suggests that the former WWE and Universal Champion should be present for the January 28 event that also begins the Road to WrestleMania 39 in Hollywood in full force. However, the capacity of his appearance is still unknown.

No confirmed update on Brock Lesnar’s Royal Rumble match
There’s no update on whether Brock Lesnar will be back on Raw before Royal Rumble 2023 or he will show up straight at the pay-per-view event, itself. It wouldn’t be a surprise for WWE to bring him back at the show since men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches usually feature several surprise attendees, after all.
This is one of the key elements of the Royal Rumble match. For example, Ronda Rousey came out at number 28, last year as the biggest surprise return at last year’s Royal Rumble event, and the Baddest Woman on the Planet also ended up winning the Women’s Rumble to secure a title match at WrestleMania 38.
As for Brock Lesnar, he also won last year’s Men’s Royal Rumble match after losing his WWE Championship to Lashley earlier that night thanks to the assistance from Roman Reigns. Lesnar then regained the WWE Championship at the Elimination Chamber to set up a “Winner Takes All” bout at WrestleMania 38 against Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Reigns then defeated Lesnar to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
Time will tell how WWE intends to present Brock Lesnar at the 2023 Royal Rumble that’s scheduled at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday, January 28. The updated match card for the first WWE Network Specials of 2023 is given below:
– Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Kevin Owens
– Pitch Black Match: Bray Wyatt vs. LA Knight
– Men’s Royal Rumble Match: Kofi Kingston, Ricochet, Santos Escobar, and 27 Superstars TBA
– Women’s Royal Rumble Match: Liv Morgan, and 29 Superstars TBA
