Cristiano Ronaldo will be certainly disappointed with himself after failing to score in back to back games for his new club Al Nassr. The 37-year-old is yet to bag his debut goal for the Saudi side as they prepare for their next game against Al Fateh. Al Nassr are fresh from their Saudi Super Cup elimination at the hands of Al Ittihad as Cristiano Ronaldo was widely criticised for a dismal outing.

However, the former Manchester United forward is now preparing to make a comeback against Al Fateh as his side looks to get back to winning ways. Al Nassr are hugely banking on their marquee signing, who is on a pay roll of a staggering £175m-per-season, which has made him the highest earning athlete the world has ever seen. Ronaldo was seen in Al Nassr training now, undergoing solid drills to prepare for the Al Fateh clash.

Cristiano Ronaldo buries an incredibly acrobatic header in Al Nassr training

Cristiano Ronaldo is known for his astute physical flexibility which allows him to score stunners. His otherworldly bicycle kick against Juventus for Real Madrid in the Champions League 2017/18 quarterfinals was just one of the instances where he showed-off his brilliant physicality. Meanwhile, as we speak about Ronaldo’s acrobatic skills, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner scored another incredible goal with a header in the most exquisite manner in Al Nassr training.

While the Riyadh base club prepares for the Al Fateh game in the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo has hit full throttle while undergoing the drills in training. The Portuguese has firmly set his eyes on shutting down his critic and open his goalscoring account in the middle-eastern country. The mesmerising footage of Ronaldo’s header was posted on Twitter fan account of the ex-Real star.

Cristiano Ronaldo is slowly finding his feet in the new surroundings after moving out of Europe to pen a world-record deal with the Saudi side. The Portugal captain’s contract with Manchester United was mutually terminated as a dire consequence of his controversial interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan, wherein Ronaldo even accused Erik ten Hag, the manager, of lacking respect for him.

The Champions League all-time topscorer decided to step out of Europe when Al Nassr approached him after none of the European teams who could have matched his wages from United expressed any serious interest in signing him. As a result, Ronaldo, who was on the back of a disappointing World Cup campaign with Portugal in Qatar where he only managed to score one goal and have a fall out with another manager in Fernando Santos, flew back to the middle-east to continue his club career there.

Nonetheless, his new coach Rudi Garcia recently dropped a hint that the legendary forward won’t end his career in Saudi and that would return to Europe. While every football fan will be praying that Garcia’s words come true, it is difficult to imagine a top tier European club signing Ronaldo in 2025 when his Al Nassr deal expires, and he will be almost 40 by that time.
