Former England captain Nasser Hussain stated that England’s greatest challenge in test cricket will be an away series in India. England beat New Zealand at the Bay Oval by 267 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the two-match Test series. Of late, England played the aggressive brand of cricket under the tutelage of Ben Stokes and Brendon Mccullum which is fondly termed the “Bazball”.
Cricketer-turned-commentator Nasser Hussain wrote in his Daily Mail column, saying that the biggest challenge for England will be in India and also said that Ashes is going to be an exciting one–and England will be favourites going into the Ashes unless the Australian batters score some runs.
“Given Australia has not won here since 2001, England’s greatest challenge will be away in India. The Ashes is going to be mouthwatering, and I think it will be close. People are talking about whether Bazball will work against their high-quality bowling attack. I think the Ashes will be won and lost on Australia’s batting line-up. They have been below par away from home, but if they can score runs in England, it will be pretty tight.”

England’s cricket team is on a roll in the world of cricket winning back-to-back world cup titles–and producing some spectacular performances in red-ball cricket. England’s real challenge in test cricket will be against India when they tour India for a 5-match test series in 2024. Although England was the last team to win a Test series on Indian soil.
India Will Be A Force To Reckon In Women’s Cricket – Nasser Hussain
With the Women’s T20 World Cup taking place in South Africa from February 10-26, former England men’s captain Nasser Hussain believes India has the potential to go from strength to strength in the next decade, especially with the emergence of the Women’s Premier League (WPL).
“India, meanwhile, is a force to be reckoned with and in the next decade or so they will go from strength to strength. The change happened once they got to that World Cup final at Lord’s in 2017 and with the Women’s Premier League coming up there is no going back. They used to be a sleeping giant but are no longer asleep. They are wide awake,” he maintained.
The women’s Premier League will begin on March 4, with Gujarat Giants will take on Mumbai Indians in the opening fixture of the inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League.
