The post-Elimination Chamber 2023 episode of WWE Smackdown is set to emanate, this week, officially starting the road to Wrestlemania 39 for the blue brigade. Of course, The Bloodline saga will still continue in the headliner following what transpired at the bygone PPV event.
A Wrestlemania confrontation will be in store on the show when Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley come face to face. The Firefly Funhouse segment will return to TV. Plus, Rey Mysterio will compete against Karrion Kross in a singles contest when WWE Smackdown February 24 episode emanates from the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.

WWE Smackdown Preview (24/02/23): Fallouts from Chamber PLE
Sami Zayn came up just short against Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber this past Saturday night to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Canada’s own Sami Zayn then appeared on Raw to call out Kevin Owens to thank him for the bygone PLE from an attack by Reigns and Jimmy Uso.
Owens was also asked to join Sami in taking out The Bloodline which was turned down since Owens will be on his solo mission to put down Reigns and Co. In this scenario, Sami is likely to appear on WWE Smackdown to further continue the angle. There are current speculations that Owens and Sami will eventually be together to challenge The Usos for the tag team titles.

WWE Smackdown Preview (24/02/23): Firefly Funhouse returns
Bray Wyatt and Uncle Howdy appeared on last week’s WWE Smackdown and declared that they will go after the winner of the Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley bout at Elimination Chamber. Lesnar was eventually defeated by Lashley via DQ which indicates that Lashley is on a collision course with Wyatt at Wrestlemania 39.
Wyatt will also bring back his popular Firefly Funhouse segment which should bring out more sides of his evolving character. Since returning to WWE programming last October, Wyatt has been unfolding his latest gimmick, in a slow manner. The Firefly Funhouse persona was last shown on WWE TV on January 20 during his feud with LA Knight.
WWE Smackdown Preview (24/02/23): Rey Mysterio vs. Karrion Kross
A rematch between Rey Mysterio and Karrion Kross has also been scheduled to take place on WWE Smackdown. Mysterio had defeated Kross during their previous encounter on January 27 and due to this, Kross has since been targeting the legend with some verbal jabs that continued last week to set up the match.
WWE Smackdown Preview (24/02/23): Dominik possibly interfering
Rey and Dominik have not really seen eye to eye for months ever since Dominik turned heel in September at WWE Clash at the Castle and aligned himself with Judgment Day. Though they haven’t competed against each other yet, the bout is reportedly saved for Wrestlemania. To rebuild the earlier storyline from Raw, Dominik will be present on WWE Smackdown to watch Rey vs. Karrion.

Accompanying him will be his Mami, Rhea Ripley as she is intending to deliver a strong message to her Wrestlemania 39 opponent, Charlotte Flair. The 2023 Royal Rumble winner, Rhea Ripley has her sights set on the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion for the past few weeks. Now they will finally meet in the ring to possibly exchange some tough words before their title match encounter.
