The rivalry between Edge and Finn Balor will not only run through Wrestlemania 39 but it will reportedly also come to an end. Fans must have been tired to see the WWE Hall of Famer going at it against Judgment Day members, time and time again and this could be the perfect time to call it off after the final match between these two names.

A week after costing Edge the United States Championship, Finn Balor issued the Wrestlemania 39 challenge to the WWE Hall of Famer on the February 27 episode from Grand Rapids, Michigan with the following comments,

“Edge, my old friend, you thought this was over at Elimination Chamber? You don’t get to decide when this is over. This is over when I say it is. Edge, you’re playing checkers. The Prince, he’s playing chess, and there’s still one more move. So if you accept my challenge, I end this at WrestleMania. Checkmate!”

Edge vs. Judgment Day to end at Wrestlemania 39

The Wrestling Blog is reporting that Edge’s feud with Judgment Day will end at Wrestlemania 39. This will be the last time ever that Edge will face any of the Judgment Day members inside the squared circle in a match,

“According to a report I received, Edge and Balor are working closely with Creative Team regarding their WrestleMania match, and the promos for the next couple of weeks. According to the same report, this will be the final match between Edge and any Judgment Day member as of today.”

At Extreme Rules 2022, Edge lost to Finn Balor in an “I Quit” match. The unthinkable happened after The Judgment Day threatened to attack his wife, fellow WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix during the match, leading Edge to utter the “I Quit” words. This should have led to “Brood” Edge vs. “The Demon King” Finn Balor inside Hell in a Cell was planned for Royal Rumble 2023, but that didn’t happen.

Instead of that match, Edge, and Balor entered the Men’s Royal Rumble match to continue their feud and set up a mixed tag team match at Elimination Chamber. Now, the earlier scrapped Hell in a Cell match is likely to be rescheduled at Wrestlemania 39.
