Bangladesh star Shakib Al Hasan has developed a knack of getting into controversies due to his antics. In recent times, the Bangladesh allrounder has landed in trouble due to his hot-tempered nature on several occasions. And he was at it again during a recent event.

In a totally unexpected turn of events, the Bangladesh Test and T20I skipper lost his cool and ended up beating a fan at the promotional event after his team’s first T20I against England on Thursday (March 9). Few hours after the T20I clash ended in Chattogram, Shakib Al Hasan attended a commercial promotional event.

Unsurprisingly, a huge number of fans waited for Shakib Al Hasan at the event. And as he was heading towards his car, making his way through the swarms of fans, one of the fans allegedly tried to take the cap away. The gesture from the fan infuriated the allrounder and started hitting the fan with his cap.

Shakib Al Hasan and controversies:

This is not the first time that Shakib Al Hasan has landed in trouble due to controversies. During this year’s Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2023, he was involved in a huge controversy after storming out on the field from the dugout to argue with the umpire.

A couple of years ago, he had done something totally unexpectable over a poor umpiring decision during a match in the Dhaka Premier League. Following the decision of the umpire, he had kicked the stumps and smashed them on the ground in anger.

Here is a clip of the incident where Shakib beat the fan with cap:

Talking about his team’s performance on the field, Bangladesh beat England by 6 wickets in the first T20I to register a famous win. England scored 156 for 6 in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, Bangladesh chased it down inside 18 overs by losing only 4 wickets.
