WWE SmackDown star and a record 14 times WWE Women’s champion Charlotte Flair who is also a former two times WWE NXT Women’s champion recently explained why she loved playing a heel character more than a babyface character. She said it was much easier for her to play a villain.
Charlotte Flair is active in WWE for more than a decade and there is no doubt that she is one of the biggest names in sports entertainment today. She has also been a record 14 times Women’s champion in WWE. Nobody even comes close to her in terms of achievement in the women’s division of WWE.

Charlotte Flair Explains Why She Loves Playing A Heel Character
For most of the time period of her career, she had been a consistent heel. She is also considered as one of the best heels in the women’s division of WWE. She earned most of her success as a heel as well, even though she won championships as a babyface as well.
In fact, right now she is portraying a babyface persona. Made her return on the very last episode of Friday Night Smackdown of 2022 as a babyface and she challenged Ronda Rousey for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship. She defeated Ronda to capture her 14th championship on the mentioned night.

She walked in as the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39 as a babyface and she defended the Championship against her long time rival Rhea Ripley. But we can definitely say that she is more comfortable as a heel in WWE.
Charlotte Flair who is also a former two times WWE NXT Women’s champion recently spoke to the Dan LeBatard show where she explained why she loved playing a heel character more than a babyface character. She said it was much easier for her to play a villain. She said;

“Yes, it’s fun. To me, it’s just easier. For my experience, my dad is Ric Flair, I come from a legacy, I’m bigger, faster, stronger. It’s hard to be like, ‘Like me, I’m relatable.’ How do you say that humbly?
“Now, my mindset is, I’m not a good guy, I’m not a bad guy, I’m just the woman. I spent so many years trying to get people to boo me and now with the reception from the fans and them being so excited to see me, I try not to overthink it. I think they want to see me be arrogant now. They want to cheer that. They don’t want me to be corny, they want me to be me. It’s more of a respect thing because of everything I’ve done in the industry.”
