Ryan Giggs, who spent his entire professional career at Manchester United enroute to earning a legendary status at the club, apparently has a kid brother he has never met. While people do know about the United legend’s brother Rhodri Giggs, he also has an 11-year-old brother who never shared the same limelight as his elder brothers.
Giggs, the son of Wales international rugby league footballer Danny Wilson, was born in Cardiff but moved to Manchester when he was six years old when his father joined Swinton RLFC. However, it seems after his parents split, Ryan Giggs never had a fondness for his younger brother, Beau Wilson, or his father.

‘History is repeating itself’ – Ryan Giggs’ dad opens up on uncanny similarities between the estranged brothers
Ryan Giggs has an 11-year-old younger brother named Beau Wilson who is a rugby player and lives in Wales, according to The Sun. Before his parents divorced when he was 16, Giggs was known as Ryan Wilson. Beau, according to his father Danny Wilson, has uncanny similarities to Ryan, such as the lightning speed he boasts. Danny said:
“It’s uncanny, I watched Ryan play all his games as a youngster and now history is repeating itself in a different sport.”
Ryan Giggs became estranged from his ex-rugby-pro father, who claims Beau has no interest in the footballer. Furthermore, the outlet claims Beau neither shares his brother’s love for football nor Manchester United, and rather supports the Red Devils’ biggest rivals Liverpool. Danny, 67, added:
“He (Beau) doesn’t want to know (about Ryan). It’s a shame because if Ryan saw him play he’d be very proud.”
Ryan Giggs is unquestionably a Manchester United legend, making a staggering 949 appearances for the club, scoring 164 goals and providing 251 assists. With the Red Devils, he won 35 trophies, including 13 Premier League titles. However, the ex-winger is facing a tough time with a retrial over assault and coercive control charges.

Giggs will stand trial this year for allegedly abusing his girlfriend. The former Wales manager, 48, is also accused of controlling and coercive behaviour towards his ex-wife, Kate Greville, 36. He is also accused of attacking Ms Greville’s younger sister Emma on the same night in November 2020 that he is suspected of abusing Ms Greville.
The alleged assaults occurred in the couple’s Worsley, Greater Manchester, home. It comes after jurors at Manchester Crown Court failed to reach a judgement following a four-week trial that ended in August last year. The CPS reiterated its desire for a retrial at a mention hearing, which Giggs did not attend but was represented by a barrister.
In a statement released last year, Ryan said:
“After more than three weeks in court I am obviously disappointed that a retrial has been ordered. My not guilty plea remains in relation to all charges. I am confident that justice will eventually be done and my name will be cleared of all the allegations.
“I would like to thank my legal team, my mum, my children, my girlfriend Zara, as well as my closest friends, for their support throughout this period. I understand the level of interest and the scrutiny around this case, but I would like to ask that my and my family’s privacy is respected in the weeks and months ahead.”
