IPL 2023: Fans Go On A Trolling Spree As Rohit Sharma Falls For A Duck Against CSK In Chennai 1

Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma’s terrible run in IPL 2023 continued in the IPL 2023, as he registered a 3-ball duck against arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 49th match of the tournament, which is being played at the M Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on May 6, 2023.

The two teams had previously met on April 8th at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai and CSK prevailed by 7 wickets.

MI had batted first and posted 157/8 with Ishan Kishan and Tim David scoring in the 30s and Ravindra Jadeja took 3/20. In response, Ajinkya Rahane made 61 in 27 balls and Ambati Rayudu and Shivam Dube finished the match in style, with 7 wickets in hand.

This time however, MI was in good spirits having come into the game by defeating Punjab Kings by 6 wickets despite chasing 215 to win.

MI didn’t have a good start with the bat as Tushar Deshpande got rid of dangerous Cameron Green and Deepak Chahar dismissed Ishan Kishan for 6 and 7 respectively. Much was expected from MI skipper Rohit Sharma who came down the order at no.3.

However, MS Dhoni plotted his dismissal well as he came up to the stumps and in an attempt to take advantage of the same, Rohit played a false shot.

He tried to scoop Chahar over the keeper’s head, but the ball took his glove and plopped to point where Ravindra Jadeja took an easy catch, sending the MI skipper back for a duck.
