Three Of Europe’s Top Five leagues can get their champions this weekend. Manchester City can kickstart their treble win by wrapping up the Premier League with a weekend win over Chelsea. Arsenal’s slip-up, where they managed just 2 wins in 7 league games since April 9 saw Manchester City takeover the title race, and now just a win away from winning it third time in a row.
The 2022-23 season is rapidly drawing to an end across Europe’s Top Five leagues. With only a few games remaining in the season, the race for domestic crowns, European Cup spots, and relegation has heated up. Some teams have already been declared league champions, while others are just a few points away from capturing their respective league crowns.
Napoli and FC Barcelona have been crowned champions of two of Europe’s Top Five leagues in Serie A and La Liga respectively. But the Premier League, Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga are yet to get their winners alongside the Portuguese league. As we prepare for another weekend of football, here are four clubs who have a chance to claim their respective league crowns this weekend including the likes of Manchester City and PSG.

Manchester City – Premier League
Manchester City, the defending Premier League champions, are one win away from claiming their third consecutive league title. Considered as the toughest amongst the Europe’s Top Five leagues, City could win their fifth title in the last six years The Cityzens will be declared champions if they defeat Chelsea at the Etihad on Sunday, May 21st, thanks to second-placed Arsenal’s 3-0 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion on matchday 36.
Pep Guardiola’s team has 85 points from 35 games so far. They are four points ahead of Arsenal, who have played one more match (36). City will be crowned champions if Arsenal loses against Nottingham Forest. If the Gunners are held to a draw by Steve Copper’s side, a draw against Chelsea will be enough for Manchester City to secure the championship.
Moreover, Manchester City are on track to complete a historic treble since they are also in the FA Cup and UEFA Champions League finals.

Bayern Munich – Bundesliga
The Bundesliga title race is likely to go down to the wire as Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund enter the last two weeks of the season separated by only one point. After 32 games, the Bavarians lead the title race with 68 points, while Dortmund is second with 67 points.
And the Bundesliga is the only trophy left for Bayern this season after Manchester City knocked them out of the Champions League and Freiburg ousted them from the DFB Pokal Cup. However, the Bundesliga The race is set to be decided on the last day of the season, but complacency on the part of the Black and Yellows might award Thomas Tuchel’s team the championship with a game to spare.
On Saturday, May 20th, Bayern will host RB Leipzig at the Allianz Arena, while Borussia Dortmund will visit Ausburg on Sunday, May 21st. If the Bavarians win at home and Edin Terzic’s team loses away from home, the Bavarians will be crowned champions of one of the important Europe’s Top Five leagues.

Paris Saint-Germain – Ligue 1
PSG might win another of Europe’s Top Five leagues in the Ligue 1 title this weekend if results go their way. The Parisians now lead the standings with 81 points after 35 games played. Closest is RC Lens, who has punched above their weight this season with 75 points in 35 games. On Sunday, May 21st, the Paris-based team hosts Auxerre, while Lens goes to Lorient.
With only three games remaining in the season, PSG can win their second straight title and 11th overall if they overcome their opponents and Lens fails to win their own match.
