WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is no more an active in-ring competitor. As a matter of fact, he retired from in-ring competition, a long time ago but never had he mentioned fully hanging up his boots, forever. For not being contended with the final match that he had with the WWE, he’s open for one final match if given a suitable opportunity.
On a recent episode of Smack Talk, one of the veterans of the wrestling circuit, Dutch Mantell (fka WWF Manager Uncle Zebekiah, WWE Manager Zeb Colter) suggested an idea about Kurt Angle returning to competition. He wants the legendary wrestler to come back to the WWE and put over current United States Champion Austin Theory by competing in a big title match.

Admittedly, he wanted the situation to be similar with John Cena returning to action so that the future star Theory could get the big rub from him. Here’s what Mantell had to actually say about Kurt Angle coming back to get involved in a feud with Austin Theory who’s now a Smackdown roster member,
“I don’t think it could hurt. If they’re able to get what Cena said out of people’s minds or if they’re even still thinking about that, I’m sure it’s in the back of their heads.
But I think him and Angle could have some great skits, some great backstage stuff, stuff in the ring. It’s gonna be kinda not funny but cute, smarta$$ and Kurt was great with that stuff. So just an idea, I think it’ll help Theory a lot.”

Kurt Angle retired at Wrestlemania 35 in 2019
Kurt Angle competed in his last professional wrestling match at WWE WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view on April 7th, 2019 in New York, New Jersey where he lost to Baron Corbin. Many were unhappy with WWE not giving him the big win in that match and rather force him to job against someone like Corbin.

Kurt Angle is a former 13-time World Heavyweight Champion (2x WWF Champion, 2x WWE Champion, 1x WCW World Heavyweight Champion in the WWF, 1x World Heavyweight Champion in WWE, 6x TNA World Champion, 1x IWGP Heavyweight Champion). Since the Wrestlemania 35 match against Corbin, he has not competed in a match.
