Former Pakistan cricketer Zaheer Abbas shared his opinions on the ongoing tussle between BCCI and PCB over the Asia Cup 2023. It was widely reported that the continental event will be moved out of Pakistan after the Indian team refused to visit the neighbouring nation citing security reasons and the political tension between both countries.
Pakistan has been awarded the hosting rights for the continental championship, but India’s stand has made it pretty impossible for them to conduct the tournament this year. BCCI secretary Jay Shah made it clear that Team India would not be visiting Pakistan due to the poor bilateral relations between both countries.
Speaking to ANI, Zaheer Abbas believes that these are the things that happen between the two cricketing boards and feels that they are no fun in cricket if there is no match between India and Pakistan, as the match is considered the best rivalry in the World of Sports.

“This is a matter of the boards. There is no fun in cricket if there is no India and Pakistan match.” Zaheer Abbas said
Recently, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had also suggested a ‘hybrid model’ where Pakistan would get to host the competition but India would play their games at a neutral venue, which was rejected by BCCI leaving the Pakistan team with an option of playing in a neutral venue or opting out of the tournament.
I Am Hoping For A Very Good Game – Zaheer Abbas On WTC Final
Speaking on the ultimate World Test Championship final between India and Australia, Zaheer Abbas expects a good game between the two best teams in red-ball cricket over the last couple of years and reckons that Australia will pose some different challenges for Indian veteran batter Cheteshwar Pujara and said that good players to do well irrespective of the conditions.
“Well let’s see actually it has to be seen soon. So, it is a matter of a few days. So, we will get to know but both teams are very good and I am hoping for a very good game.”

“Well, depending because he has not played against Australia in county cricket here. So, different ball game altogether but let’s see. Good batsmen and good bowlers can score runs and take wickets anywhere. Where ever they play,” Zaheer Abbas concluded.
Both India and Australia will look to win their maiden ICC World Test Championship title, as the Indian team is playing their second consecutive final, whereas Australian are making their maiden appearance in the massive final.
