Starting its journey back in the summer’s beginning of 2019, AEW Dynamite will celebrate the 200th episode, this week. Multiple matches for the special edition were already announced last week while new matches made their way to the card, recently. The reigning AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm has been added to the card to put her title on the line.
On the 200th episode of AEW Dynamite, the former WWE Superstar will defend her women’s world title against former ally Hikaru Shida. Over on Rampage, Shida defeated Nyla Rose in a singles encounter to book herself into the match.

With the biggest PPV event in the history of AEW waiting, later this month, Toni Storm would be keen on a title retention as she would love to return to the United Kingdom with the top AEW title around her waist. On the flip side, Shida is looking forward to beginning her second reign as AEW Women’s World Champion. Her first reign lasted for 372 days which is the longest with this particular title and also carried the company’s women’s division through the tough COVID-19 pandemic era. However, the scenario from back then is pretty to nowadays where Toni and her Outcasts cohorts run the AEW Women’s Division.
Before this week’s AEW Dynamite, Toni Storm last defended the AEW Women’s World Championship against Taya Valkyrie in a singles contest at the AEW Battle of the Belts 7 special. The Outcasts member Ruby Soho came out to distract Taya which allowed Storm to secure the pinfall win. This marked the overall third successful retention for the champion.
