“So you have seen him get off to some flyers in the last three games. But also as soon as the spinners come on, you see that he is very aware of the wicket and paces himself accordingly. He does not add pressure to himself or the team and rotates the strike very well. So you see him striking at 200 in the powerplay, That is a testimony to his mindset and how much he wants to put pressure back on the opposition,” Robin Uthappa said.

Tilak Varma made it into the Indian team following his brilliant season with Mumbai Indians. In IPL 2023 he showed the ability to anchor the innings at a very strike rate–and rescue the team in case of a top-order failure, as he batted in different positions in IPL and domestic cricket.

The left-handed youngster has done exceptionally well for India in the first four games of the 5-match series against West Indies and has shown excellent composure to bat on the tough Caribbean wickets and will look to continue his fine form going into the final and deciding game of the series on Sunday.
