Naseem Shah, a Pakistan fast bowler, provided an update on his journey back to fitness after undergoing a shoulder operation. Naseem injured his shoulder during an Asia Cup match against India in September and was forced to withdraw from the Asia Cup first, then the World Cup.
Pakistan has had a disastrous World Cup, losing four consecutive matches after winning the first two. Naseem has been a major loss for them, as they have stated multiple times throughout the campaign.
Hasan Ali replaced him in the World Cup squad and has been decent, taking eight wickets from five games so far, but Pakistan has lacked the incisiveness that Naseem used to provide with the new ball.
Pakistan is presently sixth in the points rankings, having collected four points from six games. Bowling, which has been their stronger suit in recent years, has let them down.

With Haris Rauf being put to the cleaners on multiple occasions and Shaheen Afridi and Hasan not appearing as dangerous as they did at their prime. Their spinners have not been as effective, which has impacted their place on the points table.

I’m looking forward to getting back on the pitch and representing my country. The road is tough, lonely & endless but with your duas I already feel better, fitter & stronger by the day.
