Team news for Manchester United ahead of Leicester City clash: 4 key players in doubt 1

After finding a way to arrest the loss of form that saw his side lose three games on the trot, Jose Mourinho will welcome the Champions of England to Old Trafford this weekend in one of the games of the week.

The teams have already met this season in the Community Shield game that gave Mourinho his first silverware at United but this game will be an entirely different challenge for the sides.

The Old Trafford outfit will be mulling over their lineup that should face Leicester City as there is some healthy competitions for some of the places in the side.

The likes of Wayne Rooney and Marouane Fellaini will see their places in the side come under scrutiny and it will be interesting to see the side the Mourinho picks for this game this weekend.

Prior to the match, Jose Mourinho revealed that star player Anthony Martial will not play a part in the game this weekend.

The French international, who has become integral to Mourinho’s squad early this season picked up a concussion in the build up to the first Watford goal and it seems that he has not recovered well enough to make it to this game.

Speaking to the media, Mourinho revealed, “Martial is not available. You are wrong because you say concussion,” hinting that a calf injury he sustained in that game might be keeping him out of action.

The manager also hinted in the press conference that Wayne Rooney, the skipper of the side, might be dropped for this game against Leicester City.

“If he has to go on the bench, he goes on the bench. If he has to stay at home, he stays at home, but that doesn’t mean you don’t trust him,” Mourinho said, in the press conference ahead of this game.

The likes of Luka Shaw and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are also nursing injuries ahead of this game but the manager failed to reveal the true extent of their injuries and if they will be out of this clash.

Both players have picked up knocks recently, keeping them out of contention for some time and it looks unlikely that either of the players will play a role against Leicester this weekend.

It is still a pretty strong Untied side that will face the Champions and if Mourinho is not able to take anything from this game, it will be the first time in his career that he has lost three league games in a row.

With records up at stake, who do you think will emerge victorious from this game this weekend?
