The Premier League has run into yet another international break this week after 7 thrilling rounds of league football entertained the fans across the world.
The clubs have started to settle into a new season with the points table also taking some definitive shape. It is still early in the competition but the clubs are aware of the challenges that lie ahead of them.
This weekend saw some incredible games with the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham all picking up important victories.
Here are 10 things we learnt from this weekend in the Premier League:
Palace staying strong:
Alan Pardew’s side have made a decent start of the campaign picking up 11 points from the first 7 games. They were hard to beat at the Goodison Park this weekend as they managed to take a point from Koeman’s side who failed to bounce back from their first defeat in the competition last weekend.
Klopp’s Liverpool showing some mettle:

Having gone down to an early goal away from home, Liverpool found it hard to get anything from their trip to the Liberty but two second half goals saw the Reds take all three points giving them their 4th consecutive league victory this season.
Bournemouth picking some form:
After a narrow victory over Everton, the Cherries almost took all three points from their visit to the Vicarage Road this weekend. They took the lead twice in the game but failed to keep the home side from scoring. However, they will take a point from this game and will stay in the 13th position in the points table.
Guardiola’s resistance broken:

An own goal from Kolarov and one from Dele Alli gave Pep Guardiola a reality check this weekend as Mauricio Pochettino’s side completely dominated the game at the White Hart Lane. The Citizens never looked like scoring as the Spurs went home with well deserved victory evident in the 2-0 scoreline on the night.
Payet keeps Bilic’s job:
Having lost 4 back to back games, Slaven Bilic’s job at the Olympic stadium has been under scrutiny lately. Aitor Karanka’s Middlesbrough side managed to take the lead in their tie against the Hammers this weekend and the home side needed a stunning goal from their French hero to keep themselves in the game and take a point to save Bilic’s job.
7-minute victory for Chelsea:

A trip to the KC stadium looked tough for the Blues who were not able to find a way past Phelan’s Hull side this weekend. However, a fruitful 7 minutes after the hour mark saw Diego Costa and Willian put two past Hull to take all three points from this game, bouncing back from two back to back defeats recently.
Van Aanholt’s turn to deny the Baggies this weekend:
After Stoke City managed to spoil WBA’s part last weekend, Sunderland’s Van Aanholt came up with an 83rd minute equalizer to give the Black Cats a point from this game. The home side were just not able to get on the ball and dominate the game and will feel lucky to walk away with a point.
5 in 5 for Wenger:

On his 20th anniversary, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger celebrated their 5th victory in the last 5 Premier League games as club captain Laurent Koscielny managed to find the back of the net in the dying minutes of the game. Burnely managed to hold on for long periods but were not able to see the game through giving away all three points.
Champions held by the Saints:
An eventless game at the King Power ended in a 0-0draw between Leicester City and Southampton this weekend. Charlie Austin missed the best chance of the game for the visitors both teams found it hard to create chances for themselves on the night.
Martial stunner not enough for United:

Anthony Martial opened the scoring for the Red Devils at home in their tie against Stoke City this weekend. After being held to a 0-0 score-line for an hour, the Frenchman found the back of the net with a sumptuous shot by a late goal from former Liverpool man Joe Allen gave Stoke City yet another point this weekend.
