WWE News: Former Diva Maria Kanellis To Quit Wrestling Soon 1

WWE fans must be aware of the Diva named Maria who used to be a huge attraction during the Ruthless Aggression era. She made quite a name for herself by indulging herself into a number of relationships both on and off-screen. Her on-screen relationship with the franchise player of the company, John Cena made her a darling amongst the fans.

The Diva was last seen in the WWE in the year 2009 and now is under contract with TNA wrestling promotion. Recently, she posted a series of tweets in her official account letting the pro-wrestling universe know that she will be quitting wrestling in near future.

Maria said she will soon hang up her boots in order to pursue her unfinished studies. She will be getting done with her Bachelors in May 2017 and then might go on to seek her Masters. We did not know when she is going to call it a quit but she promised to let it know, very soon.

Inside rumors suggest that the decision was taken due to the current situation of TNA. The company is in serious trouble after facing a number of lawsuits filed against them. President, Billy Corgan has sued the owner of the company, Dixie Carter. Earlier speculations suggested that Vince McMahon might buy TNA wrestling in order to get its video contents.
Maria has never commented regarding TNA’s situation. However, her husband, Mike Bennett posted a tweet showing his frustrations.

After being done with WWE, Maria tried her luck successfully in the NJPW and Ring Of Honor wrestling promotion. She was even known as the first lady of the ROH promotion with her husband by her side. Although Maria did not a Women’s championship in WWE, she was named the Diva of the Year in 2009. Maria was also the last woman from WWE who had posed for Playboy magazine.
