In the latest ICC team rankings for the ODI’s South Africa grabbed the top spot displacing Australia. This is the first time in five years, South Africa are at the top of ODI team rankings. The Aussies were pushed to the second spot inspite of whitewashing Pakistan in the recently concluded ODI series at UAE.
South Africa too had a great away series against New Zealand where they won the first two matches and the third match was abandoned due to rain. India, who are currently in the third position with the same points as the Aussies have a good chance to go to the top if they whitewash Sri Lanka in the upcoming series and hope either South Africa or Australia winning the bilateral series between them with a 3-2 margin.
South Africa are also the number 1 Test team in the World.
