Arsenal, it seems, is finally planning life after Arsene Wenger as they have contacted RB Leipzig manager Ralph Hasenhuttl to replace the Frenchman.
Wenger, who has been in charge of the Gunners for over 20 years now, has been tipped by many that the current season will be his last at the Emirates. His contract expires at the end of the season and there has been no indication from the club that they will offer a contract extension to their long-serving manager. Bournemouth coach Eddie Howe was linked for some time to take charge at the Emirates but nothing strong came out. However, it looks like the club chiefs are now serious to find a suitable replacement for Wenger and Hasenhuttl has emerged as their prime target.

The Austrian tactician has made a huge impression with his brilliant coaching skills in the Bundesliga. When he took charge of FC Ingolstadt in 2013, they were languishing at the bottom of the 2. Bundesliga. He did a remarkable job with them that season as he led them to tenth place before securing promotion to the Bundesliga. In the following season, he helped the team to finish 11th in Bundesliga. He then took charge of RB Leipzig this term, where his team are joint top in the league.
When asked whether he has been approached by the English outfit, he said:“It was a well-researched story.”
“There was a lot of truth to it.
“I have heard of worse fates than succeeding the longest-serving manager in England.
“It’s not damaging my reputation, is it?
“We don’t have to put too much thought into it. I have found my luck here.”
