This week saw Rohit Sharma break the record for highest invidual score in an ODI match but what happened yesterday was something extra ordinary for a bowler in a T20 match. Chris Morris gave away just 2 runs in 4 his quota of 4 overs and took 2 wickets, something which will surely go down as one of the best performances in a a T20.
This is now the best bowling performance by a bowler in a T20 match , completing his full quota of 4 overs . This record was earlier jointly held by Z Babar, Shoaib Malik, S Narine , who all gave away 3 runs in their quota.
This happened in the ongoing RamSlam T20 Tournament in South Africa , where Chris Morris was playing for Highveld Lons and the match was against Cape Cobras. Due to this brilliant performance by Morris, Lions could not even manage a 3 digit score in the full quota of 20 overs and lost the match by 47 runs. Lions had earlier scored 141 runs.
An interesting point about both the 2 records made in this week is that both Rohit Sharma and Chris Morris share their birthdays, with both born on 3oth April 1987.
Record Alert: Chris Morris (4-3-2-2) bowls most economical 4-over spell in Twenty20 Cricket. Prev Record: Z Babar, Shoaib Malik, S Narine.
