Chelsea Decides John Terry's Fate Amid Interests From Chinese Super League 1

Chelsea veteran John Terry will reportedly leave the Stamford Bridge after this term as the club hierarchy is not willing to hand him a new deal after this season.

The Times has reported that the 35-year old has been told by the club officials and manager Antonio Conte that his playing career is over with Blues. However, speculations are rife that he might be given a coaching role at the club.

John Terry offered £12 million to QUIT Chelsea

The Chelsea skipper was linked with a move away from the club in January after receiving a mega offer from Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai Shenhua but the report claimed that the former England international has assured the club officials he will not leave the club in the upcoming transfer window.

With Branislav Ivanovic going through a poor form and Kurt Zouma still finding his rhythm, the club officials are keen to keep Terry at the club. Antonio Conte’s men are currently leading the Premier League the table and with the season to enter its business end, Terry can play a pivotal role.

The veteran defender is still recovering from a muscle problem in his buttock and has played six minutes since mid-September, but a seasoned campaigner like him has a role to play if this team are looking to win their second Premier League title in three years.

Meanwhile, The Sun  has reported that the centre-back is keen on getting a new deal from the club but it looks highly unlikely. The Blues have already planned life after Terry and are linked with a host of defenders to replace their captain of 15 years that includes the likes of Southampton centre-half Virgil Van Dijk and Napoli ace Kalidou Koulibaly.
