John Cena has adopted a new role from the past couple of years in the WWE. He’s been working ‘part-time’ for the company and hence has missed some major PPVs in the recent past. Reports says he will be doing more movie roles in 2017 and hence we can expect him to make even fewer appearances.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter supported the fact saying he might not even work for six months in combined in 2017. A fan asked the veteran journalist if we can expect him working for more times in the WWE or not. Meltzer said with so many movie projects in hand, it’s not possible for him to work for more than six months.

Cena is said to be grabbing a role in the next Thor franchise. Furthermore, he will be doing a movie named “The Pact.” Plus, he will be earning the honor of hosting the Saturday Night Live along with Casey Affleck on December 10th. He is the only third man after Rock and Hulk Hogan to add the feather in his cap.
Also, the question is if he is not available for a full-time basis then how will the WWE make him the record 16-time world champion in future. As of now, he is scheduled to return in a house show on December 26 in Madison Square Garden.
Now as for Finn Balor, who was earlier rumored to appear at the Roadblock PPV, has denied all of that stating he’ll not be a part of it. He had an appearance in the Sam Roberts’ Wrestling Podcast where he stated the advertisements were made for Roadblock PPV even before he was hurt. He’ll not make any appearance at the last PPV of the year.
Speaking about return he said that he is eyeing Wrestlemania return.
