The 17-year old, who is currently the first-choice shot-stopper for the Italian outfit at the San Siro, is one of the most exciting talents in world football and the top clubs in Europe are already after him.

Liverpool, with their goal scoring problems, were almost ready to spend on him in the past while Manchester United have also kept a close eye on his progress.

Spanish giants Barcelona are also reportedly eyeing a move for him in the near future and this has seen AC Milan and its representatives take immediate action.

At his age, the Italian is not eligible to sign a professional football contract and will remain with
AC Milan till the end of the season. But in February next year, he will turn 18, at which time he will be eligible to sign his first contract.

Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester City are other clubs circling around the youngster to try and lure him out of the club in two months time but AC Milan might now squash all such rumors with a big move.

According to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, AC Milan are now ready to offer him a bumper £42.5m on his first professional contract as a football player.

This deal will make the 17-year old one of the most expensive shot stoppers in the world and at his age, he will become the highest paid teenage football player in Europe.

He is firmly established in the first team at San Siro for a while now, having made 47 first team appearances for the club, and it is likely that he would want to stay in his country for a longer time.

But his contract will now make him immune to interests from even the biggest clubs in Europe.

The likes of Barcelona and Manchester United are strongly linked to him but if the Serie A side are able to persuade him to put pen to paper, it will be a huge win.

Do you think Donnarumma is worth that money?
