WWE Rumors: Roman Reigns vs The Undertaker Planned For Wrestlemania 1

Wrestlemania season will kick start with the Royal Rumble PPV. The biggest attraction of the showcase of the immortals has been the Undertaker’s marquee match, every year. This year too ahead of the season, a lot of rumors have been roaming around the internet, suggesting his next opponent.

According to a recent rumor from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Undertaker is to face none other than Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 33.

The WWE creative is thinking of this match since this could be a career-changing match for Reigns, whom the WWE is still trying to give a push to build as a standalone superstar for the franchise. The previous match of Cena vs. Undertaker might be on the hold since it will not leave any fall-out for anyone involved in future storytelling. Their legacies have already been cemented in the WWE.

This year, the event of Wrestlemania will take place in Reigns’ home state of Florida. Last year, the Big Dog of the WWE fought against the Game, Triple H to win the WWE World championship in the main event. Ever since the first poster of Wrestlemania 33 was launched, fans started speculating of Reigns featuring in the championship main event again.

The source also confirmed that Reigns will be getting a big match at the event even if he is not involved in a championship match like the previous year.

Vince McMahon is not interested in making the dream match between Cena and Taker. Furthermore, the rumors suggest that this might be the final time that we will see the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. So, if WWE does not arrange Reigns vs. Undertaker this year, then they might not get the opportunity for the same in future.

However, the scenario is not quite clear how two superstars from two different brands are going to feature in a match. Speculations say that Reigns might emerge victorious in the championship match at the Royal Rumble PPV. The Undertaker is going to resurface to challenge him for the championship, going forward.
