January 29 is inching closer and we are getting more names who might be added to the Royal Rumble match. As per a Facebook post, Kurt Angle was previously booked for an independent wrestling show on this Saturday. But he canceled his appearance due to his commitments in the WWE, which has started the rumors of Angle appearing in the Rumble match.
The update was given by 5-Star Wrestling Promotion’s Dominant Wrestling who will host the show at the Dundee Ice Arena in the United Kingdom. Angle was supposed to be on the commentary panel for the show but will not be available. The show will be broadcasted on Spike TV at 8 PM on Saturday Night which will feature numerous former WWE superstars like Johhny Mundo, Rey Mysterio, PJ Black (Justin Gabriel), Drew Galloway etc. This was the advertisement on the Facebook page.
After this advertisement, it is almost certain that Angle will be present at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas in some sort of capacity. Thepossibility is that he might enter the Royal Rumble match to make it the biggest of all time. This might further set up a bout for him at Wrestlemania. So, WWE fans’ wish to see Angle back into the WWE TV might just come true during the Royal Rumble event.
Another name who teased his Royal Rumble entry is Finn Balor. He posted on twitter saying, “Thanks, Doctor???” hinting that he has got cleared by the medical personnel to be back into in-ring action.
Furthermore, a fan asked him about his presence on Sunday when he replied with “30-1” which was another indication of his entry at the number 30 spot.
Previously, Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggested that Balor will become Universal champion just after getting back. He will have a feud with Kevin Owens for the championship going into the Wrestlemania season. We’ll have to wait till Sunday to see what the creative has in store for him.
