Legendary Shawn Michaels appeared in an interview with ESPN for promotion purpose of his movie called ‘The Resurrection of Gavin Stone’. Apart from discussing his in-ring return, he mentioned a few names who he would like to face while making an in-ring return.
AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, and Samoa Joe were amongst them while he specifically favored facing the Samoan Submission machine. He said that due to the contrast of wrestling style between them, their match would be a great one. These were HBK’s comments:
“I look at Samoa Joe, and I’ve told him a number of times that I see his stuff at NXT and think to myself, ‘Man, I could have a great deal of fun with you.’ He’s a guy I have sort of enjoyed, and one of those sleeper guys that no one talks about. We have contrasting styles. From my standpoint, I think really telling a great story out there [is most important]. I could do it with a guy like Samoa Joe. His stuff looks really good, and sometimes he just looks like he’s beating the tar out of somebody.”

The former NXT champion has surely noticed that a WWE Hall of Famer has praised his wrestling style and hence took his twitter handle to respond to it. He agreed that if given a chance then both are capable of creating good chemistry inside the ring.
Quite interestingly, the WWE too addressed it on twitter teasing that the dream match might be in store at some point. As of now, we have no option but to enjoy the match only on WWE 2k17 video game.

As for Samoa Joe, he just landed on the main roster of the WWE on Raw by delivering a vicious onslaught on Seth Rollins. He is going to be the next poster boy of the Authority under Triple H. If that is going to be the case then a major push is on the cards for him in near future.
