Manchester Clubs, Barcelona Ready To Pounce On Tottenham Star Who Is the Most Productive In His Position This Season 1

After coming close to the Premier League title last season, Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur has put on a decent run this season, as they are currently in the mix for a place in the top-4 in the points table.

The manager will be relatively pleased with the way his team has performed this season but the losses against Liverpool and Gent have surely been a setback.

They have enough time to get back to winning ways and achieve season’s goals and Pochettino seems confident, as he is already planning for life in the next season.

The Argentine, like every other manager in England, is desperate for some quality additions in the transfer market and has been linked with some of the biggest names in Europe.

Pochettino will hope that he can add a few players, but he will first concentrate on keeping the core of the squad at the club but he might now be facing a tough task keeping one Kyle Walker at the club next season.

The England international, who is currently the first choice right-back for club and country, is among the best in the business in the league and has been influential in games this season for Pochettino’s side.

At the age 26, he is just entering prime as a footballer and his return of 5 assists have not gone unnoticed.

He has been linked with a move to the Etihad and the Old Trafford with both Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola, desperate for defensive additions.

And as if that was not enough, Pochettino will now have to keep him away from big clubs outside England.

English media outlet  Evening Standard claims that Spanish giants Barcelona are now front runners for his signature in the summer.

The Catalan giants are yet to replace Dani Alves in the squad for a couple of years now and Luis Enrique has not been able to keep the likes of Sergi Roberto and Aleix Vidal in that position consistently.

He is now looking for a right-back and Kyle Walker is at the top of their list.

Walker is the most productive defender in the Premier League and Pochettino knows his importance to the club. He got the player to sign a 5-year contract just last September and any club that want to buy him will have to pay a hefty price.

Barcelona might be an offer too good to refuse for Walker but Pochettino will be adamant that he will not sell to Premier League rivals in the summer.

Do you think Barcelona will sign the 26-year old English international in the summer?
