Australian All-Rounder Sarah Coyte Retires From International Cricket 1

Sarah Coyte, Australian all-rounder, has decided to bid adieu to international cricket, the player confirmed on Tuesday (February 28). Coyte represented Australia in four Tests, 30 ODIs and 47 T20Is.

She was a part of Australian squad that won the 2014 World T20 in Bangladesh. Coyte was awarded the Player of the Match in the final as riding on her economical spell of 4-0-16-3, Australian women restricted England to 105. The Southern Stars then chased down the total in mere 15.1 overs to win the title.

“I am going home to Sydney to be close to my family and restore some balance to my life. I have been realising lately how much I have missed my family and it is finally time for me to go home. I am not going back home to play for New South Wales, I am leaving domestic cricket altogether to refocus on myself and my loved ones,” Coyte said.

Coyte withdrew her yearly contract with Cricket Australia last year as she was battling with personal issues.

She ends her career with a total of 44 wickets in ODIs and 47 wickets in T20Is.
