Talking about the batting in the T20 format, boundaries play the very crucial roles as it helps to grow the scoreboard faster. India hosted the 2016 T20 World Cup (officially known as ICC World T20 2016) from 8th March to 3rd April 2016, where West Indies finished as the champions and England finished as the runners-up.

During the 2016 T20 World Cup, the batsmen hit a total of 831 fours and 314 sixes which meant that the batsman managed to score a total of 5208 runs from the boundaries.

It was the first semi-final of the 2016 T20 World Cup. After the New Zealand team managed to score 153/8 (20 overs) in the first innings, England opener Jason Roy played a vital role for England’s successful chasing (159/3 in 17.1 overs) as the right-handed batsman scored 78 runs off 44 balls.

In that match, Roy hit 11 fours and 2 sixes as he managed to score 56 runs from the boundaries.
